up-and-coming DIY project

Jeg blev så glad, da jeg fandt denne frynse-læderjakke i den lokale genbrugsforretning for kun 125 kr baby! Har kun drømt om Acne’s ruskinds frynsejakker – men de er lidt out-of-reach! Det eneste er, at den er temmelig slidt, så tror jeg farver den sort..så endnu et DIY projekt der ligger i bunken og venter – C.ecili.E

*DIY lambswool coat*

I got this fabric really cheap and I’ve really wanted a pilot-jacket for a long time (I did a post about one from Zara) so I’m glad for it! It’s really warm and nice. And it will be nice to have another coat-option in these cold days.

Do it like your grandmother

I JUST FOUND THESE VINTAGE SEWING PATTERNS AND I THINK IT’S QUITE FUNNY TO SEE HOW SIMILAR SOME OF THE FASHION WE’RE SEING TODAY IS TO THE FASHION TWENTY YEARS AGO. I WANT TO DIG OUT SOME MORE OLD PATTERNS  FROM A PILE MY GRANDMOTHER HAS SAVED – A LOT OF THEM WOULD PROBABLY MAKE SOME NICE CREATIONS.

tough to subdue

I found these DIY-boots from the blog RackandRuin. I've had a thing for the 90's-buffaloish-boots 

for a while, but they have to be more feminine than the "typical" ones seen in the nineties. I think

these are a bit to clumsy at the first, but after the DIY, they look ill! Would be really cool to find

some cheap thrifted shoes and do something similar - maybe with black studs instead?

Disse støvler er virkelig blevet forvandlet efter RackandRuin's DIY-project. På en måde ser de mindre

buffalo-ish ud efter der er blevet sat nitter på - hvilket falder helt i min smag. Det kunne være

fedt at finde nogle genbrugs støvler og kaste lidt DIY-støv over dem.

Leather Vrist Thing

You’ll need a piece of leather …

…and 4 pieces of strings in the material you prefer

1. Cut a hole in all the four corners and pull one of the strings trough it and make a big knot, like this:

2. When you’ve done this in all four corners, connect the strings and tie a knot on one side, like shown on the picture:

3. Repeat this on the other side of the string and on the two other strings, so it ends up looking like this:

You’ve now made an easy cool bracelet with an ajustable ‘lock’ :)

Winter project at summer time

This Diana Orving jacket is the inspiration for one of my next sewing projects. Even though it’s too warm for the summer, I can’t wait to get started. Sad rainy days won’t be too bad, when I’ll have this to put on. A guide on how to make it will follow :)
