the now is sometimes good

Even though we’re already seeing photos of the Spring 2011 collection from Opening Ceremony, I think it’s important to live in the now (sounds corny, I know) even though the fashion world has already turned its attention on next year’s collections.

Anyway, I like the color palette of the 2010 Fall collection with the off-white, dark red and black – and of course the layering. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to have these images hanging next to my closet for inspiration in the early hours, when you sometimes don’t have enough brain activity to pull of any styling of your outfit.

summer look in question

Okay, so the black boot isn’t at all summer..but how epic is the chunky rubber sole, right? Anyway I think my summer outfits are going to be quite simple. Too much layering – especially in black – is too hot to wear, so it’s going to be clean. The white shoes from Opening Ceremony par Robert Clergerie would be perfect with brown legs and a white douce dress. The cleanness of the first ones (United Bamboo) is lovely! Actually I prefer those compared to the other white lace-ups from F-troupe with the brown soles.

I think I’m slightly convinced that’s going to be the white look triumphing this summer :)

The real ceremony

I just saw some pictures from the event Opening Ceremony held for their new flagshipstore in Tokyo, Japan. Wish they would consider Denmark for a new flagship store. Among the attenders were the Olsen twins and Kirsten Dunst. Couldn’t help posting this cool picture of the cool girls.

Need some more shoes, well need or need. But these have been in my thoughts ever since I found them. They would all be excellent for winter, but wish I could fine some boots which have the plateau of the ones from F-troupe.
