Some time ago we discovered this talented photographer, Lior Zilberstein. Previously a Londoner, now a growing citizen of Copenhagen, he has given himself the task to share his take on Denmark from an somewhat outsider’s fresh point of view.

I fell in love with his “Skagen” photographs with their blurriness and idyllic feeling almost taking one back to the traditional paintings of the Golden Age. I just had fun with three of the images in Photoshop, mixing it up with the contrasting suited vintage man, stressing the contrast between the controlled and the wild / calm nature still with a dreamy attitude. I saw these edgy platforms on Susie Bubble’s blog or she’s calling them flatform. flat, plat, fnat..anyhow. They are made by a Japanese lable G.V.G.V. At the moment I’m drawn to everything mint colored. If you’d asked me a year ago, I would tell you about the nasty color of my grandma’s previous kitchen. But now, I’m all about mint colored things. Even in the café where I work my eyes are captured by a little plate with mint colored edges. And there’s the Doc Martens I posted about some weeks ago here.

THIS AFTERNOON I SAT IN THIS REALLY COZY CAFÉ IN THE AREA NØRREBRO WHERE I LIVE HERE IN COPENHAGEN AND HAD BROUGHT ALONG MY COMPUTER.. BUT THEY HAD NO INTERNET. SO WHAT TO DO WITH THIS ABNORMAL SITUATION OF HAVING NO INTERNET (SERIOUSLY A BIG ADDICTION OF MINE, BUT YEAH PROBABLY OF EVERYONE) I MADE THIS RANDOM SERIE OF COLLAGES OF THE LOVELY IMAGE OF THE GIRL AND THEN THE MOUNTAIN IMAGE. HERE’S THE OUTCOME OF HALF AN HOUR SPENT WHILE ENJOYING MY CAFÉ AU LAIT. ALL COLLAGES © CECILIE ENGBERG

AND NOW SOMETHING DIFFERENT. IT’S MY FINISHED PROJECT FROM LAST WEEK WHERE THE TASK WAS TO FOCUS  ON THE CUSTOMER/USER – IN THIS CASE A KRABBESHOLM STUDENT – SO TO SAY. THE IDEA WAS TO CREATE A NEW PLATFORM FOR A KRABBESHOLM BASED NETWORK AND FAMILY TREE.
