Right now I’m preparing for getting the shop here on Highly Dazed up and running. Among the things we’ll be selling are my own illustrations with a frame following along as well. Stay tuned!

We’ve been lucky enough to get the opportunity to shop for 200 cool dollar cash in Shopbop’s online store – all thanks to the work of Bloggers Delight.
So where to start, when you suddenly have money to shop for (in an otherwise quite tight monthly study-budget for the both of us)!?

Shopbop has a wide range of both high-end designers – we were drooling over the Maison Martin Margiela’s leather goods or the 3.1 Phillip Lim sandals which are on sale for the record – and also very affordable items for daily wearing. There’s quite some money to be saved if you’re scouting for some more expensive items and you take a look at the Sale department.

We both chose to be a bit practical in our choices in the sense of choosing two items which would go along with almost anything in our wardrobes combined with being some good-good items to possess for this summer.

Cecilie.W chose these clean and comfy Superga sneaks. Because of their street-ish look yet simple all-white color, you can both pair them with a dress or wear them as a component in one of our favorite looks this summer, all tone-in-tone whites and nudes.

Cecilie.E chose a clean-cut black cotton dress with a beautiful back from Cheap Monday. Combined with either a delicate lace-bra or a differently cut top underneath, this surely will be a favorite through the next months.

My friend Oskar is a design assistant at WDV-STUDIO and he told me to check out this cool new magazine called FROM. A Magazine about youth, not like we are used to in the form of young and creative people ind their twenties, NO this is about really young boys and girls! (and its not a magazine about parenting). 

The cover is simple and eye-catching. With intense eyes and a pensive expression a boy who looks like a grown man, captures the viewer’s attention. When you look closer you can see a hint of a teenage beard, fragile and almost see-through. When you turn the pages of this magazine you will certainly feel the power and the coolness of the young generations. It is very interesting to read about these small people, because these interviews, editorials etc. are serious and respectful articles about a topic that mostly is written from a grown up more concerned perspective.

Mostly the magazine is a visual mix of editorials and graphic features with teens and youngsters “doing their thing”. The pictures and the text have this “no worries” very uncomplicated feeling, like a kids drawing interpreted in many ways on every page. A very exciting project that focuses on the way we see the very important period of time in life, where it all begins.
